Redbud Deli started with a simple idea: make fresh, flavorful food that works for real life. Quick lunches, easy dinners, office catering, cakes, and a local place people can count on.
HOW REDBUD TOOK ROOT
When Redbud Deli opened in 2014, I wanted to create the kind of place I was having a hard time finding in Morristown: somewhere you could get real food, fresh ingredients, and flavors that went beyond the usual fast-food choices.
At the time, people were getting more interested in food. Cooking shows were everywhere, grocery stores were starting to carry better produce, fresh herbs, and ingredients we hadn’t seen as much before, and it felt like people were ready for something different.
Redbud Deli grew out of that feeling - fresh food, real flavor, and a local place that could fit into everyday life.
BUILT TOGETHER
Redbud Deli has always been a family effort. Lisa brought the culinary background, restaurant experience, and food vision; Wally helped make the dream possible and has been part of the work from the beginning - building, supporting, problem-solving, and helping to keep Redbud moving forward.

Why The Name Redbud?
Redbud trees are one of Lisa's favorite things about spring in East Tennessee. Their bright pink blooms feel hopeful, local, and rooted here - which made the name feel right.
